That look in his eye…

It’s so amazing, the pure and simple concentration evident in a baby’s eyes. When he is breastfeeding, I could stare into those two beautiful, bright, unblinking orbs for ever. He’ll stare at me and I know he’s drinking it all in, completely absorbed in the moment. He’s not distracted by the day-to-day tedium of running a household, feeding a family, earning a living. He is %100 focused on me. What a feeling, to be the object of that kind of attention. And then he grins, losing his latch for a second, but starting right back up a moment later.
What a beautiful boy.
